This is a common question: people need to see to trust, need to touch to trust, need to hear to trust. It’s really interesting how if someone comes trying to sell an idea, like a pyramid scheme or some kind of prosperity promise, you trust in it and invest your money or your time because you’re sure that in the future you’ll get a good reward. But when somebody talks about Jesus, people always ask, "Is Jesus real? Show me Jesus!"

You trust in politicians, and they lie. You trust in the reels on social media, and sometimes they’re lying. You trust in the news, and it’s manipulated. You trust in the person you think you’re in love with, but if someone says, "I died for you. I don’t need your money, I don’t need anything from you but your love," you run away.

How can anyone hate Jesus? Every time, He preached about love—loving your enemies, being a good son. Nothing but love. What is the biggest sacrifice you could make for someone? Wake up early? Pay a debt? Share your time? He died for you! I mean, He died for you! Do you understand? Well, I would never do something like that for someone—never. Would you?

My last point in this introduction is that it doesn’t matter what kind of community you belong to—Jesus never said anything that banned you from deserving His love. One thing is religion; another is Jesus’ love. Let’s try something. I challenge you to say with me: "Jesus, I don’t know too much about you, but I invite you into my life. Show me your love."

Now, with Jesus’ help, we can continue. This is not just another story or testimony; this is how I’m trying to introduce Jesus to you, just like He met me. He is my best friend, and I will be praying to become your friend too.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
John 15:13 (NIV)
